Cholesterol (Colesterol) helps new building of body cells. Its sources in your diet are Eggs (Yellow of Egg), Poultry, Beef, infact all meats. Please note that vegetables contain very little or no cholesterol. An egg yolk's level of cholesterol is equivalent to about 9 litres of vegetable oil's cholesterol content.
However, our bodies do need a low level of cholesterol. Some of it is made within the body itself in the liver and intestines. Cholesterol is necessary for cell building.
There are 2 types of cholesterol known as High Density Cholesterol (HDL) and Low Density Cholesterol (LDL). Besides food prividing about 24 % of cholesterol the body (liver and cells) produces the remaining 76%. There are 2 types of Cholesterol Bad (LDL) and Good (HDL).
High cholesterol level of LDL cholesterol narrows your arteries by depositing on the walls; this is known as cardiovascular disease (heart disease). A highly narrowed blood vessel causes heart attack and death results because the heart stops beating.
High Cholesterol and heart attacks are closely related. One percent reduction in Cholesterol level reduces
